Item Descriptions:

(1) Pushpanjali: Pushpanjali is performed as an invocatory dance piece in an Arangetram. The name 'Pushpanjali' stands for saluting and offering flowers to God, Guru, and the audience. This traditional piece is set in Hamsanadham ragam and Roopaka talam which will be followed by a Ganesha Shlokam. It is choreographed by Guru Vid. Ananth Vikram.

(2) Krishna Alarippu: This piece is an inspired combination of the traditional  Alarippu with the theme of Lord Krishna. It uniquely combines the beauty of nritta, with endearing interludes into the folklore of Radha and Krishna. It is set to Ragamalika ragam and Misrachapu talam.

(3) Shabdam - Sarasijakshulu: This is the first expressional dance piece in Bharatanatyam margam. It is a beautiful composition based on the conversation between gopi and Lord Krishna, complaining about his mischievous behavior. It is composed by Tanjore Quartet and set to Misrachapu talam and Ragamalika  ragam.

(4) Mahakali Varnam: The most elaborated, enthralling, and challenging piece in a repertoire is Varnam. This is a power-packed and high-energetic dance piece describing a war scene between Goddess Kali and Raktabeej demon. It is set in Tamil and Sanskrit languages, in Revathi ragam and Adi talam.

(5) Padam - Vaishnava Jana To: Padam is the deepest expressive item of a Bharatanatyam Margam. This is a Gujarati bhajan composed by legendary poet Shri Narsinh Mehta during the 15th century. The poem speaks about the life, ideals, and mentality of a Vaishnava Jana who is believed to be a follower of Vaishnavism. This bhajan was popularized through the length and breadth of India as it remained on the lips of Gandhiji and his companions throughout the Dandi March in 1930.

(6) Ardha Narishwaram: It is an astonishing dance piece that shows the oneness that lies in Lord Ardhanareeswara, portraying the differences as well as the equality between Lord Shiva and his consort, Goddess Parvati. This piece is choreographed by Guru Smt. Mayuri Kharat and Smt. Nishita Shah. It is composed in Sanskrit by Mutthuswami Dikshitar and set to Kumudakriya ragam and Rupaka talam.

(7) Keertanam - Shrinathji Bhajan - Vanke Ambode: A Keertanam or Keerthan simply means "praise". Usually, keertanam is composed in praise of God. This is a Gujarati bhajan with jathis woven in between, set in Desh ragam and Misrachapu talam. It describes the glorious attributes of Lord Krishna in the Shrinathji Avatara. It is choreographed by Guru Smt. Sumitra Rajguru and Smt. Nishita Shah.

(8) Abhinaya Fusion - Surprise Twist: It is our humble try to experiment with this unique collaboration. This piece is choreographed by Smt. Nishita Shah and will be one of the few other surprises, that is planned as a treat for our viewers. This expressive abhinaya will surely steal everyone's heart and that you certainly don't want to miss!

(9) Dhanasree Thillana & Mangalam: Thillana, the lively climax of the Arangetram exhibits exuberance of rhythm with sculptured poses. This  200 years old authentic composition is one of the gems of Maharaja Sri Swathi Thirunal. This will be concluded with a Mangalam, the last prayer dance which is a short benediction giving thanks and invoking blessings for everyone present.
