Sites to visit in OKC

We compiled a list of some of the top places to see while you are in OKC especially if you are coming in from out of town.

SCISSORTAIL PARK:

Scissortail Park is a 70-acre urban oasis extending from the core of downtown Oklahoma City to the shore of the Oklahoma River. The 40-acre Upper Park is open now, with the 30-acre Lower Park scheduled to open in 2021.

RIVERSPORT ADVENTURE PARKS:

This area offers exciting outdoor urban adventures for the whole family. Whitewater rafting and Love’s tubing, surfing, adventure courses, zip lines, high speed slides, extreme jumping, climbing walls, pump tracks, sailing, flatwater kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, a bike park with pump tracks and a mountain bike skills trail, indoor alpine skiing (new in 2021) a nature center and more are open daily in the summer and on weekends spring and fall. You’ll also find festivals and race events throughout the year and summer camps for kids.

BRICKTOWN WATER TAXI TOUR:

The Bricktown Water Taxi is a historically-themed narrated cruise through the heart of downtown Oklahoma City’s Bricktown entertainment district.

OKLAHOMA CITY NATIONAL MEMORIAL & MUSEUM:

On April 19, 1994, the Oklahoma City bombing changed our world forever. But in the years since, we have reframed an attack into a story and lessons worth discovering and sharing with the next generation.

MYRIAD BOTANICAL GARDENS:

Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City's most beautiful and vibrant garden spaces offering visitors a 15-acre escape in the heart of downtown OKC. Visit the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory, home to thousands of tropical and desert plants.

NATIONAL COWBOY & WESTERN HERITAGE MUSEUM:

Native American artifacts, historical cowboy gear, and fine art...the museum tells America's story as it unfolds across the West.

OKLAHOMA CITY ZOO:

The OKC zoo covers 119 acres and is home to more than 1,900 animals. It is open every day except on National Holidays.

OKLAHOMA CITY MUSEUM OF ART:

OKCMOA's collection covers a period of five centuries with highlights in European and American art from the 19th century to a growing collection of contemporary art, and one of the largest collections of glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly.
